The First Step

We’re glad you’re here! Getting started is simple — complete the relevant referral form below. Our friendly team will get in touch to guide you through the next steps and connect you with the right support.

Step 1

Getting to Know You

Your therapy begins with a meaningful conversation. Together, we explore daily routines, celebrate strengths, and understand challenges. This session lays the foundation for growth, giving space for honest discussions and ensuring we focus on what matters most to you.

Step 2

Meet & Greet

This first session is about building trust and comfort. You’ll meet your therapist, get to know each other, and discuss the best ways to move forward. It’s also when your therapist identifies the most helpful next steps and any assessments needed.

Step 3

Assessment

We may use formal or informal assessments to gain a clear picture of where you’re starting from. This ensures therapy is tailored to your unique learning style, strengths, and goals, and allows us to track progress over time.

Step 4

Therapy Sessions

Sessions are one-on-one and usually weekly or fortnightly. Together, we practice skills that matter most to you, with strategies you can apply at home, school, work, or in the community. Our focus is on real-life progress, not just what happens in the therapy room.

Step 5

Goal Check-In

Midway through, we check in to celebrate the progress, reflect on strategies that are working well, and make any adjustments to goals or approaches if needed.

Step 6

Progress Review

At the end of your therapy cycle, we provide a written summary of strengths, successes, challenges, and recommendations. This guides next steps and helps you continue building confidence, independence, and meaningful skills.
