How Services Occur

Our clinic is located in Torrensville, SA 5031, and we warmly welcome you to attend in person. We can also provide therapy at home, school, or in your local community within a 30-minute radius., to help transfer therapy outcomes into the real-world.

We’re available Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5pm. We can also arrange after-hours or weekend appointments by request. We work with you to find times that suit your schedule, so therapy is flexible, manageable, and integrated into your daily life.

We support individuals across the lifespan. Our therapists have experience helping people with developmental delays, neurodevelopmental differences, neurological conditions, and physical disabilities.  

HOW WE SUPPORT

At Learn for Life, we provide practical and strengths-based support to help you or your loved one build confidence, independence, and meaningful skills across daily life. 

Daily Living & Independence

  • Self-care: Supporting children, teens and adults feel confident in everyday personal care, including dressing, bathing, toileting, mealtimes and sleep.
  • Daily Activities: Encouraging independence with independence with meal preparation, housekeeping, shopping, money management, and getting around safely.
  • Home Modifications & Equipment:   Recommending adaptations and equipment to create safe and accessible spaces that support everyday life.  

Social & Emotional Wellbeing

  • Social Skills: Helping people of all ages build connections, navigate social situations, and form meaningful friendships.
  • Behaviour & Regulation: Supporting emotional wellbeing with strategies for regulation, sensory modulation, and problem-solving.

Learning, Play & School Readiness

  • Learning & Play Development: Encouraging growth through play, exploration, and social interaction, tailored to each child’s unique style.
  • School Readiness: Developing skills for school success, including handwriting, typing, attention, organisation, planning, and time management.

Motor & Physical Skills

  • Motor Skills: Strengthening fine motor skills for hands and gross motor skills for the body, including coordination, balance, and movement. 
  • Physical Management: Supporting upper limb function with tailored programs, stretches, and splints when needed. 
  • Communication Access: Helping children, teens, and adults use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, including eye gaze, switches, or direct access.

Home & Functional Assessments

  • Functional Capacity Assessment: Understanding strengths, challenges, and goals through a thorough standardised evaluation of daily life skills to guide therapy, supports, and planning.
  • Home and Living Assessment:  Evaluating current or future living arrangements to create a safe, accessible, and supportive environment.

Start Your Path to Independence

FUNDING OPTIONS

You don’t need a referral to see an Occupational Therapist at Learn for Life. We welcome a range of funding pathways to make accessing support as easy as possible.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

We provide services under the NDIS in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. We welcome participants who are self-managed or plan-managed. 

Department for Child Protection (DCP) 

For families supported by DCP, we can provide a quote for services upon request.

Private / Fee for Service 

You’re welcome to access therapy as a privately paying client.

Private Health Insurance 

Many health funds provide rebates for OT assessments (code 100) and consultations (code 200). Payment is required in full at the time of the appointment, and you can then claim your rebate directly from your provider. Please check with your health fund for specific rebate details. 

Please note, we are not currently registered to provide services through Medicare or Chronic Disease Management Plans.
